The Cutest Smile Ever

I just had to post a couple of pictures of Rylee looking exceptionally sweet! She smiles all the time, but it is so hard to actually get a picture of it.

Love this picture too, so sweet!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

My mom, Rylee and I took a short trip to Fort Worth to hang out with my sister and the girls today. Rylee had fun being taken care of by her big cousins Elliott and Berkley. They are so sweet and every time I see them the first thing Elliott says is, "Can I hold baby Rylee?" She is so sweet and loves taking care of her, giving her toys and making sure she has her paci and is covered up.
After lunch we went down to the pool to let the girls have some fun in the sun and swim. Elliott and Berkley drove in their barbie escalade. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I was so surprised to see how good Elliott has gotten at driving it. My mom stayed with Rylee in the shade while my sister and I played with the girls in the pool. Elliott is such a little fish! She was jumping into the pool and swimming to me, I was so proud of her! Berkley plays in the baby pool with her floating toys and sat on my lap on the step in the big pool. Soon she will be a little fish too!
Here are some pictures of our fun, fun day!

Father's Day Weekend

We finally enjoyed a relaxing weekend at home, it was so nice! Brad and I could not remember the last time we actually spent a weekend at home doing absolutely nothing. Friday night we went and saw Dane Cook, which was hilarious. We had great seats and enjoyed having a nice night out. Saturday we were complete bums and watched movies all day long and Sunday Brad smoked out chicken legs and thighs (which were fabulous) while we enjoyed some cold beverages out on the patio with Rylee. She enjoyed helping daddy cook! What a great weekend!

Aren't they sweet?!

2 months old

Rylee turned 2 months on Monday and we had her 2 month check up. It was her dreaded first shots and Rylee and I both cried, it was so sad. She weighed 11 lbs. and 4 oz. (62 percentile), was 23.75 in (89 percentile) and her little head is still in the 50 percentile.
I can't believe she is getting big so fast. I am excited to see all the new things she will do, but I will miss her being this little :(
Some of the things she does right now:
  • grabs at her toys on her baby Einstein mat
  • makes eye contact when you talk to her
  • smiles when you talk to her (not all the time, but I wish)
  • is sleeping 6-7 hrs. at night in her crib
  • tries to suck her thumb, but she can't find it b/c she keeps it tucked inside her fist
  • coos and squeals (the cutest thing ever)
  • half way rolls over, either from her back to her side or her side to her stomach
  • still loves to snuggle :)

So sad, but still so cute

I was trying to take her 2 month picture and she wanted to be held. As soon as I took the picture and picked her up she stopped crying, spoiled rotten ;)

Rylee's Baptism

Rylee was baptised this past Sunday and she did sooooo good. Everyone oohed and ahhed over how adorable she looked in her gown, bow and even pearl bracelet from Grandma and Grandpa. So many family members came to attend and we were very grateful, especially my Grandpa and his friend Betty who came all the way from Michigan. I didn't realized that when we chose the date for her to be baptized that the sermon would be "the word in music." It was very nice though and Rylee must have enjoyed the music because she slept the whole time. She did very well and never cried once, although she did spit up on the pastor a bit, but he didn't mind ;) Here are a couple of pictures from her special day.

Sweet Baby Sounds

I posted two videos that are at the bottom. One is her smiling like crazy and playing on her baby Einstein mat and the other is her cute squeal while doing tummy time. After watching the video I realize that the squeal may not be out of enjoyment, but still too cute!!! I also posted a couple of pics I took this week. Stayed tuned, I will have tons of pictures after the weekend! Baby boo is getting baptized Sunday ;)

This was her coming home outfit (2 months later and it's still too big) I don't know what kind of newborn is large enough to wear this. I guess this is what I get for shopping online!

Sweet Baby girl after a day of shopping with Mommy!

She was smiling really big when I took this one, of course I'm not quick enough, but still darn cute!

Great times!

And not so great!

Time to Catch Up

We had such a busy weekend, I'm still trying to catch up. We left Friday to go to Mom and Pop's house in Garland. We stayed the weekend to attend our best friend's rehearsal and wedding. Grandma and Grandpa came in from Henderson to watch Rylee with mom and pops on Friday and then Grandma and Grandpa had Rylee all to themselves while the four of us went to the wedding on Saturday. Rylee did so good, so they say :) We had fun spending time with everyone!
Our friends Justin and Amanda's little girl Kyleigh just turned one. So Rylee went to her first birthday party on Sunday. It was a lot of fun, but boy were we pooped by the time we got home! I told Brad I was so tired it hurt!
I think Rylee is going through a growth spurt right now, all she has been doing the past couple of days is eating and sleeping. She's finally sleeping 6 to 7 hours at night now! I am thrilled that I only have to get up once in the middle of the night!
Here are a couple of pictures from our week and weekend.

This was her party outfit, isn't it the cutest?!

Here she is with Great Grandma and Grandpa Instine

Check out that cute smile
