Our Trip to Austin

We made plans to take a little family trip to The Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Austin.
Ry was so excited about our trip that we had to make a countdown chain.

We left bright and early Sunday morning. Here they were watching Minnie's Wizard of Oz!
Eli does not last long before falling asleep.
Ry always gets car sick, I was prepared this time!
First thing is first, break in the beds!
Ready to hit the pool!
I'm pretty sure the water slide was one of their favorite parts, the lazy river was pretty fun too!
After a couple of times sliding with Brad and I, Ry was ready to brave the slide on her own!
After the water slide we were walking across the bridge to the beach and pool and Ry got stung by a wasp, right on her booty. It was so sad, especially because we had been there all of 10 minutes when it happened. They called security and a woman came with a first aid kit. She cleaned it with sting relief wipes and anti itch cream. Ry cried on and off for about 10 min. then she was good to go. I was very tempted to take a picture to document the moment, but just couldn't....poor baby!

The resort had an amazing desert table each night at dinner, I wanted to take a picture of it, but thought I'd look like an idiot. I did get a picture of Ry dipping some goodies in the chocolate fountain!
Unfortunately Eli loves chocolate as much as I do...
We went for a walk around the resort each night to walk off our dinner and desert. There was all kinds of fun stuff to see.
As soon as we got back to our room the kids were jumping and wrestling on the bed. Eli fell off and hit his head on the table. If you look above his right eye you can see a bump. Battle wounds for both kids on our first day :(
 This is Eli's sad face...
You can see it better here.

When did she get so big?
My friend Melanie lives in Austin and she came to the resort one day with her kiddos to hang out and swim. I haven't seen her since high school, it was great to catch up! Her little boy, Vincent, will be 3 this summer and sweet Elli is 6 months.
Ry and Vincent trying to catch some ducks.
Ry and Brad beating me in checkers.
Smores
We then played on the golf corse. Have you ever walked on a golf corse with bare feet? It's super soft!
Playing with a rollie pollie.
Eli found a perfect walking stick each night on our walks.
Taking a short bus ride for Ry to do a pony ride!
Eli was too little to go on the trail ride :(
 He enjoyed a sucker instead.
and running around
When we got back they had outdoor water coloring.
Ry loved checking out what movie was on each night before dinner.
 Eli calling for room service...
 tickles
The walk from our room to go pretty much anywhere was a hike. This is how Eli got to where we were going EVERYTIME, it was too funny! Ry of course would run ahead and we would have to yell ahead for her to stop and let us catch up.
I only caught the end of Eli talking on the phone. He would pick it up and say, "hello" over and over.
