Rylee's 1st Photoshoot

My sister came over Friday to take pictures of Rylee for her announcements. They turned out so cute it was hard to choose which ones to post. She did so good and let my sister move her all over the place while she was trying to sleep. I was a little worried not having her in a diaper for so long, but she did good and only had one little miss hap. Here are some of my favorites. My sister is so awesome, she really needs to start charging people for her work (except for me of course)!

Our First Weekend Home

It has been a crazy couple of days. The lack of sleep, figuring our this whole feeding thing, and being emotional has really been a bigger challenge than I thought. I would not give it up for anything in the whole world though! Rylee is so perfect and sweet, she makes the cutest sounds, and is so cuddly. We discovered she has dimples like her daddy and she stretches and sleeps like him too! We still can't figure out who she looks like, I think she is too little to tell.

We went to the pediatrician yesterday, for Rylee's check up. She was so good and everything went great. The doc said she is very alert and strong. He did all of these different tests on her to check her reflexes and she did great. She has even gained back 4 and a half ounces since leaving the hospital (and here I was all worried). She does have a little jaundice, but we got lab work done and everything came back awesome, so no worries! Here are a couple of pictures from our first weekend home (it is so hard to choose)!
Cuddle time with Daddy!

Naptime with Daddy, sooooo tired!

Snuggles with Mommy!

I came out of the bathroom from brushing my teeth and Brad was reading Rylee the bedtime story he would read to her when she was in my belly. It was so sweet I had to run and get the camera.

Getting some rays to help her jaundice

She loves her swing!

Had to get a close up of that beautiful face!!!

Rylee Rose Is Finally Here!

Rylee was born April 15th at 4:43 p.m. She was 7 pounds, 9 ounces and 21 and 1/4 inches long. I ended up having to have a c-section, but everything went great and we are both doing awesome. My friend Lauren is a labor and delivery nurse at Medical Center of Plano and made sure I had excellent care for both Rylee and I, thanks Lauren! We got home Saturday and it is great to be home, that is for sure! Thank you to all the family and friends who came and visited us in the hospital. Most of all, I have to thank my wonderful hubby for taking care of us and putting up with my emotional state. I think I am more emotional now, than I was when I was pregnant (nobody warned me). Here are a couple of pictures for now. I will have to post later of our weekend at home. It sure is hard to catch up with a little one!!!

Here is our girl, she has the most beautiful blue eyes (when they're open)!

Love this one, she looks like a baby doll

Our Last Day/Night As A Family Of Two!

So, found out for sure yesterday that we will be going into the hospital tonight at 9:30. Very exciting for two reasons: One, this might mean Rylee could possibly be here a little sooner on Wednesday and two, they will be giving me something to help me sleep. I think I've slept a total of 8 hours over the past couple of nights, the excitement and anticipation is killing me! Brad is taking a half day today to help with a few last minute things around the house (cleaning) and then he is taking me to dinner and a movie before we head to the hospital. He's such a sweetie!!! I will have to post one last picture of the belly when Brad gets home, I'm going to miss it!

We are off to dinner and our movie, hopefully it will distract me for a while. My stomach has already started hurting, so I probably won't even get to enjoy my meal tonight. Please pray that we have a smooth and complicated free delivery and that Rylee will be healthy. We will be thinking of you all and will try to post pictures as soon as we can.

New Additions

Rylee's room is finally complete! We received the last few additions this week that I had bought online, I'm a little obsessed. Brad says I have to stay off the computer because I am having way too much fun. He is right, but will it stop me......

Adorable lamp that matches quite well if I do say so myself!

A beautiful blanket that Mee-Maw made for Rylee!
(yes, she did make it, pretty talented I know)
The bottom reads," Every Inspiration a Bloom, Every Branch a Path."
