Memorial Weekend Fun

Mom took this picture of Rylee watching cartoons earlier in the week, such a cutie pie!

A sweet friend at work made this keepsake quilt for Rylee for her 1st birthday. At her party, everyone filled out a square piece of fabric and wrote to Rylee. My friend then put it all together and it turned out AMAZING! This is Rylee's reaction when she saw it......

We play outside every night once it is nice and shaded. Rylee is such an outdoor girl!

Saturday we went over to Mom and Pops to swim . This was Rylee on the way, love how she just sprawls all out!

Sunday we went to the lake with some friends. Our good friends Lauren and Scott are moving to Memphis ;( We had a blast and got a little out of control. I couldn't even post the picture of all four of us!

Today we enjoyed time relaxing at home and re cooperating from the busy fun filled weekend. I bought some sidewalk chalk for Ry to play with outside.

We had Grammy and Papa over for dinner tonight. Rylee enjoyed swinging with her Papa!

What a great weekend! 4 more days and I am officially at stay at home mama, YAY!!!

Rylee got into Brad's sock drawer and pretty much had socks all over our room. She found a pair of fuzzy socks and thought they were so cool. We put them on her and she thought it was the funniest thing ever! She was walking around cracking up.

If you give a baby socks.....she'll ask for a scarf to go with them. If you give her a scarf...... she will ask for a hat!

We had a much needed LAZY weekend this weekend. We have been so busy lately, so it was nice to have a laid back weekend and enjoy some family time! Rylee has been keeping us busy, the girl is into EVERYTHING! Although it is very tiring it is so neat to see her little wheels turning and how curious she is about everything. Her nickname, "Nosey Rosie," fits her so well!

We've been working on animal sounds and so far she does: dog, snake, lizard, fish, bird, cow, monkey, horse and bear. She will repeat anything we say and talks all the time. Her new thing is saying, "What's that?" It sounds more like one word, "wusssat." She says it whenever she hears something or sees something she doesn't know.

We haven't had any toilet incidents lately, but she has found a new hobby. She has unfortunately learned how to open cabinets. I have been dreading this for some time and now it is here. This is awful if you know how many cabinets we have. So we also spent the weekend baby proofing, which also includes a gate for the upstairs now too!

Rylee's has also been giving kisses a lot lately, and it is sooooo sweet! My favorite is when she does it all on her own without even asking her too. I also love when she wants to be held , she walks straight up to my legs, wraps her arms around them and looks up at me with her beautiful blue eyes. This melts my heart!

3 weeks till I am home with my sweet baby girl for good and I can't wait! I am definitely counting down the days, it can't get here fast enough!

Maw and Poppie got Rylee this little chair in Canton. She loves it. I couldn't stop taking pictures she was being so silly!

Rylee loves drinking out of my favorite cup. She's so funny, she'll just walk up, bend the straw to her mouth and take a big drink. I've taught her to go "ahhhh" after a sip, it's so cute!

We went to the park on Sunday. She looked so cute and the weather was so nice I had to get some pictures.

They didn't have a baby swing, but Rylee didn't mind. I think she liked swinging with me more anyway :)

When we got home we tried out her new bubble gun from Maw and Poppie.

I was watching Ellen and Rylee started dancing to the music. By the time I ran and got the camera I only caught the end of it before she realized I was recording her. Her reaction is priceless!
