Can't Keep Up

Right after I posted, Brad says, "Amanda come in here and look at Rylee." Of course I grabbed my camera. Again, he had a bright idea! He used her boppy pillow from her tummy time mat to help keep her a little more stable in her exersaucer. Poor kid didn't even know where to start. I think she will be entertained for hours, this things has so many things on it, probably a little too much. It took 12 AAA batteries if that tells you anything.

Just Hangin Out

We've been pretty lazy lately, just hangin out around the house all week. Rylee giggled for the first time last night and luckily Brad was home and saw/heard it too. Talk about the cutest sound you've ever heard, besides her little squeals and jibber jabber! She is getting so close to rolling over, I swear it will be any day now (hopefully). She manages to do a full circle on her back under her Einstein gym, it's hilarious. She throws her self back and fourth from one side to the next.

She is not quite ready yet for her exersaucer, so below is Brad's invention for entertainment until then.

Sunday we went over to my parent's house to celebrate Elliott's B-day (she turned 4 on Monday) and J's B-day (he will be 25 on Aug. 6th). It is always nice to get the whole family together. Still waiting for Chrissy to email me the pics I took on her camera, C'mon!

Here is Rylee in her new bouncy seat that matches her swing. She loves it and says it is especially comfy. I told Brad I wish they had one in adult sizes.

Today we went up to Brad's office for everyone to meet her. It's so adorable how he gushes over her to everyone up there. Then he took us to Brio for lunch, yummy!

We went and visited Rylee's BFF Addie at her house. They had so much fun! Rylee and Addie said it was much nicer than being stuck in a stroller at the mall for hours!

3 Months Old!

Rylee turned three months today, hard to believe! She is getting big so fast and it makes me sad how fast it going by. She is the sweetest thing ever and has the cutest personality already. Some things she is doing right now are:

• Eats 5-6 oz every 3 hrs.
• Sleeps 8 hours
• Smiles all the time
• Sits in her bumbo seat
• LOVES to stand up
• LOVES her bath
• She likes to suck/chew on her fingers (possibly teething?)
• Likes to watch the t.v.
• Grasps at toys and holds them
• Squeals (and is very close to giggling)
• Still trying to roll over, very close though
• LOVES to cuddle
• LOVES when Daddy gets home from work
• She is finally getting interested in Ruger (our dog)
• LOVES to go shopping with Mommy ;)
• LOVES to have her butt patted

Rylee's First Swim!

Yesterday we went to Brad's parent's house to hang out by the pool and eat. We had a great time and Rylee looked so cute in her little swim gear! She was sleepy and hungry so she didn't last too long in the pool. She was outside probably only 10-15 min. and her little face was so red (not burned, just hot don't worry). She was in the shade at all times in her cool little starfish float. Thanks Maw and Poppie for having us over!

Happy 4th of July

What a weekend! Brad had Friday off so it was nice spending the day together with Rylee! Friday night we went over to my parents house for a little BBQ with the family, we had a great time. It's always nice when the whole family gets together! Saturday we went out on the boat for the 4th of July and my parents watched Rylee. It was our first time out on the boat this summer and boy was it fun. I got rather intoxicated and I am feeling it today for sure. Here are some pictures from our fun filled weekend!

She's Finally Found It!

The poor thing has been trying to find her thumb for about a month now. She only does it right before she eats or when she is trying to fall asleep. It is so sad, she snorts and sucks about half her hand and fingers trying to find it and yesterday she finally did. It was the cutest thing ever! I would rather her personally be a paci baby because I can take it away, I can't take away her thumb. But if she's meant to suck her thumb that's what she's going to do and I will just have to get over it. My sister, brother and I all had pacifiers, but Brad sucked his thumb. It looks like Daddy's gene may win over mine unfortunately.
On another note, Rylee rolled over on Sunday! Whether it was a fluke or not she still did it and we were proud! She is getting so big and cuter every day, it's going to be so hard to go back to work in August, I don't know how I'm going to do it!
