San Antonio/Austin Trip

Last Thursday we headed to San Antonio for a long weekend vacation with Brad's parents. That morning Ry was pulling her suitcase all around the house saying, "I'm going to the beach!"

The first thing she found (and her favorite) in our room was the phone just at her level. She would pick it up and say, "hello."

After dinner we went down to the big fire pit down by the pool area to roast marsh mellows and make smores. Ry was a fan of the roasting marsh mellows part, but not so much the smores.

Then it was time to check out the pool/beach/lazy river all in one...so cool! Ry insisted on carrying her sand toys all by herself!

Family pic before floating the lazy river =)

Ry and Maw waiting on the truck so we can head to Sea World!

Ry LOVED the dolphins!

Feeding some ducks with Daddy.

Waiting for a show to start with Maw and Poppie.

This show was AMAZING! There were boats, jet skis, wake boarders, skiers.....you name it. It was one thing after the other and sometimes at the same time, full of cool tricks and stunts for a full 30 min. Ry kept saying, "again!"

This one was at the Shamu show. It was pretty HOT by this time! We got seated 30 min before and then there were technical difficulties. After we left we discovered that it was the record high in 77 years.....nice!
We got to Sea World at 10 and left at 3:30. As soon as Ry got her stuffed Shamu on the way out she passed out! I can't believe she made it the whole day =)

Saturday we went on the River walk and did some shopping. After Ry's nap we headed down for some more pool fun!

This was another favorite at the hotel, the golf cart in the lobby. She had to climb in every time we passed it!

Saturday night they had a petting zoo and pony rides. Ry just LOVES animals and she's so sweet to them!

They even had little cowgirl dress up clothes!

Ry kept trying to pet this llama, but it kept running back and forth from one side of the cage to the other. Ry kept chasing it back and forth trying to grab it and said, "hold still." Finally, they gave her some food to feed it so she could touch him. She kept saying, "it tickles!"

playing at the park

Every night they had movies playing outside on a big blow up screen, so the last night we were there we went to check it out. They had blankets to sit on, popcorn, drinks and a ton of light up toys you could buy. This is Ry and I waiting for Brad to get back with some $$$$ to buy Ry something.

Checking out what to get with Daddy. She decided on a light up necklace with a dolphin =)

Sunday we headed to Austin to be a little closer for our drive home on Monday and to check out "the bats." We got a room that had some sort of "bat package" where you got a view of where the bats come out at dusk and a stuffed little bat. I guess a ton of bats hang out under this bridge over the river and at dusk they all fly out and it's quite the sight. Here Ry is waiting to check them out with her bat.

It's kind of hard to see, but there are a bunch of people gathered on the bridge and even in the water waiting to watch.

I'm not sure if it was the distance from our view to the bridge, or the size of the bats, or a combination of both, but it was hard to see the bats coming out from under the bridge and Ry definitely couldn't see them. Oh well, we tried. I think if there is a next time, we will watch from the bridge ;)
Overall, it was a great trip and we will definitely be going back! If you've never been you have to check out Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. This is a wonderful family resort!

Big Girl Sleepover & New Additions to E's Room

Chris and Chrissy had a weekend getaway and we watched the girls Friday afternoon/night and then they went to stay with Uncle J and Aunt Ray today & tomorrow. We had a TON of fun, but 3 kids is a lot of work!!! After Ry got up from her nap they got their suits on and headed out back for some water fun!

E chasing Ry and Berk with the sprinkler

Filling up the pool.... check out Ry with her hands on her hips, LOVE it!

E would squirt them with the hose and they would run away screaming, then come back for more.

Not sure what Ry was cracking up about, but so cute!

Silly Berk

Ry wanted to try out Berk's goggles, so funny!

E showed her how to look under water with them.

LOVE this one of E =)

Pizza break!

Back to the pool, Uncle Brad even made them some waves! It was hilarious, I heard E ask Ry to ask Uncle Brad when the pizza was coming and she ran up to the patio and yelled, "Uncle Brad...where's the pizza?" Brad replied, "I'm Daddy and the pizza is on the way." I lost count of how many times Ry called us Uncle Brad and Aunt Amanda, too funny!

Bath time

Brad made the girls a nice big pallet to lay on and watch Toy Story 3, they LOVED it!

Popcorn and movie

Story time, Uncle Brad/Daddy is so funny when he reads stories!

Saturday morning all the kiddos came in our bed as they woke up one by one. Any guesses who woke up first???

Ry and Berk were running around the kitchen chasing each other while waiting for Brad to get home with the donuts.

Ry LOVED E's DS

Round II

And, some new additions to little man's room =)

I bought his letters at Hobby Lobby and didn't really like how small they were. I bought some unfinished frames, painted them and added some buttons and ribbons just to add a little something. Simple. Easy. Done.

I painted Ry's lamp blue, bought a tan shade and passed along Ry's night light that was her Poppie's when he was little. I also found this little plane at Hobby Lobby to go with our airplane theme, LOVE that place!

The Summer Fun Has Begun!!!

Last week we went to the splash pad in Fairview. It will be much more fun next year when I can sit on the patio at Gloria's and drink a margarita while the little ones play =) Don't get me wrong....we still had fun!!!

Ry's first official big girl pony tail, just in time for swimming lessons!

Ry before her first swim lesson (last Tuesday). I have to admit it's pretty intense, we both cried her whole first session! She's doing one on one 10 minute lessons with an instructor Mon.-Thur. for 6 weeks. Then we will join a group w/other kiddos and mommies to reinforce what she's learned. She has done better each time she has gone and today she swam on her belly and flipped over to her back to float all by herself!!!! I was a very proud Mommy! The instructor mentioned to me that Rylee is very smart and that she was very impressed with how much she has learned in just the two weeks we've been coming......ya think! I'm so proud of my sweet girl!

Before swim lessons last Friday. I got her suit on and thought she looked so cute that I tried to take a picture, we played this game for a good 5 min........

Before finally getting this adorable shot...... I could literally eat her up!

Saturday was my 29th b-day. We did some shopping that morning in McKinney square and then had lunch. We went to a beautiful wedding where I enjoyed a piece of cake and then came home to have b-day cake! Pretty sure I gained 5 lbs in cake over the weekend. When I went to the doctor on Tuesday I had gained 8 lbs in 4 weeks! Doc said that it's almost hard to do.....ummmm......really??!!

Sunday we went to Canton...this is Ry on the way there.......

And....on the way home! Pretty much sums up our trip! Ry really does have fun, she gets to run around every one's booth picking up their stuff since everyone knows Maw and Poppie and b/c she's cute ;) It was miserably HOT though!!! Luckily Maw and Poppie have tons of fans and even an air conditioner in their booth. I have decided I won't be going back unless it's 80 or below, preggo or not!!!

Wednesday we met Michelle and Addie at their pool which is the COOLEST! I am so jealous that I might have to steal their code and pretend I live there too!

So hard to get pics of these two stinkers together!

Awwwwww....LOVE them!

And lastly, Ry's new favorite pillow =)

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!!!
