3 Months & Christmas Tea

Sweet boy,

You turned 3 months on Thursday the 15th and I can't believe it! Time is flying by way too fast! You are getting cuter by the day and changing so much already! It feels like you do something new each day and I wish you would just slow down! You are so much fun and I enjoy getting to spend every moment with you, I am the luckiest Mommy ever! Here are some things you are doing right now:

  • you smile all the time now and it is for sure that you have BOTH dimples, just like your Daddy =)

  • you've started talking/babbling/squealing. My favorite is when the star on your Einstein mat turns off! You squeal to let us know and stop as soon as it starts lighting up again.

  • you make eye contact when we talk to you and smile from ear to ear EVERY time! You have started babbling back, sweetest thing!

  • you are still waking up at either 12 and 4 or 1 and 5. The last 2 nights you have woken up at 11, 3 and 5...YUCK!!! Not fun at all and hoping this is a 3 month growth spurt!

  • you are eating every 3 hrs and sometimes 4 when you take a good nap. The last 2 days you would go 3 hrs and then want to eat after only an hour and a half, again I hope this is a growth spurt and I'm not ruining what we have worked so hard for already!

  • We had a minor issue with you taking a bottle and after spending the night with Grammy and getting bottles all night, you are doing better. I now give you a bottle a day to make sure this doesn't happen again and also to see how much you are eating. At first you were very stubborn and were only eating 2 oz, but you have taken 3.5 and 4 oz the last couple of times you had a bottle. I think you are getting over it...hopefully!

  • you love to watch your sister and smile when she talks to you

  • you are VERY ticklish and squirm like crazy every time we tickle you

  • even though you still get up twice at night, you eat and go right back to sleep all by yourself!

  • you still love to be held and cuddled =)

  • you are wearing 6 month clothes and are pretty close to needing size 3 diapers!

  • you can sit in your bumbo

  • you are not a fan of tummy time, but who is?

  • you love to take a bath and love to get you hands and feet massaged with lotion

We love you sweet boy and can't wait to see all the new things you will be doing in another month!

Love,

Mommy

Had to share this picture of Elf! We found him zip lining across the kitchen Friday morning =)

Friday We went to Berkley's first annual Christmas Tea party! It was so cute and so fun, the girls had a blast! You can tell E did too ;) He passed out after this picture and pretty much slept through the whole thing!

Berk pouring everyone their tea

Ry getting her sugar cubes for her tea

The snacks were so cute! There were snowman cupcakes, reindeer cookies and these cute little brownie cupcakes w/Santa hats (strawberry and marshmellow)! I wish I would have taken a picture of all of them. Chrissy will have it all on her blog one day........
showing me her tea

Cheers!

The Hostess herself, so stinkin cute! She also kept reminding everyone that she was the hostess, it was so funny!!!

And what's a party without a craft?Ry, Berk, Madison and Emily Kate

showing off their reindeer
Elliott had her tea party after school, so after all my sister's hard work, she decided to have a "Mama's tea party" that evening! We had so much fun! Brad was out of town hunting so I took both the kids and we had a sleep over. Ry and Berk didn't go to bed until 11 and Ry still woke up at 6. Did I mention that E was up at 11, 3, and 5 and I went to bed at 1? Yeah.....made for a fun day! Unfortunately I didn't take any pics, but my sister got quite a few cute ones, I will have to get them from her. Thank you Berk and Chrissy for being such great hostesses! We can't wait till next year!!!

Around The House, Christmas Art & Elf

Eli looking exceptionally cute in his bumbo!

Passed out with Daddy

Eli sitting in his bumbo, so Ry used her potty....

Ry got a letter from the North Pole sending her on a scavenger hunt!

one of her clues...

The last clue led her to her room where she found...

Elf!!! Yes....his name is Elf, very creative we know ;)

Elf left his book on her pillow for Daddy to read

I couldn't get Ry to leave Chris and Chrissy's, so Berk let Ry wear one of her princess dresses, shoes and crown home. Ry wore it the rest of the night, even for dinner!

Ry was very concerned about a mess that Elf had made when he came back from the North Pole one morning! She kept wanting to clean up the toilet paper, but we reminded her that Elf made the mess, so Elf would have to clean it up. Not sure where she gets it from...
We have been doing a lot of fun art projects lately =) Here, I drew an outline of a Christmas tree and she used a branch from our tree to paint it. Then she used her thumb for the ornaments. It turned out super cute!

making a paper plate wreath

Even Eli joined in on the fun and made his first piece of artwork!

Ry helped me make cake balls for a cookie exchange at MOPS last week. She is so my child!!!

Eli can't wait until he is off his milk only diet

On their Mickey/Minnie pillows & blanket

Ry & E in their semi matching jammies

One of my own art projects
Ry making a snowman out of cotton balls
I had to leave a little trim around the hat to show how good she has gotten at staying in the lines!

our tree
One of Elf's spots he found. No, the picture is not upside down, Elf is =)
Today I was making lunch and I looked over and this is how Ry was painting....

E all cozied up in his swing, LOVE him!
