6 Months!!! Half A Year!!!

Eli,

You are 6 months old today, half a year...... WoW!!! We love you more and more each day and enjoy watching you grow and learn! You are such a happy go lucky baby and are already so curious about your surroundings. Looks like you are going to be into everything like your sister, you learn from the best!
You had your 6 month check up today, which included 3 shots =( you cried right away, but as soon as I picked you up and snuggled you with Blue Dog you were fine! I think this was the best you have done with shots yet! I was surprised that you gained less than a pound over the last 2 months, but you grew 2 inches! We love you sweet boy and can't wait to see what you have in store for us next month!

Here are some things you are doing at 6 months:

• You weigh 17 lbs 11 oz and are 27.5 in long


• You have moved from the 83 %tile to 55% in weight and from 76%tile to 83%tile in height


• You still wear 6-12 months clothes, size 3 diaper and size 2 shoe


• You have been eating 2 T cereal and a whole baby food container (3.5 oz) in the morning and evening and sometimes you will even eat 2 baby food containers!


• I have not found a food you don't like, even though I know you're not given a choice, but you've never spit anything out, have had a tantrum or turned your head to anything I have offered.


• You haven't had many bottles, but are doing great now! You sucked down a 7 oz bottle for Grammy a week or so ago.


• You have your two bottom teeth, which are absolutely ADORABLE and your top teeth seem like they are not far behind!


• Just recently you have started sucking your left thumb too! You mainly suck your right thumb, but switch when you get bored......or maybe you're just testing it out.


• You are great at rolling from your back to your belly and even sleep on your belly sometimes, but you haven't figured out how to get from your belly to your back yet.


• You are sitting up so good, with such little assistance. You have even sat by yourself for several seconds and didn't even realize you were doing it because you were so busy playing.


• My personal favorite: You are officially sleeping through the night....12+ hours! You have been going to sleep between 6:30-7 and will sleep until 7:30 or so!


• You finally have a schedule, taking 2 good naps a day and it's greatness!


• You are so interested in everything, wanting to reach and touch and put in your mouth!


• You were determined to have some of Rylee's Chick Fil A cone the other day. As soon as you saw it, your eyes never left and you screamed till you got some. An once you got some, you wanted more! You were a huge fan!!!


• You have started paying more attention to Ruger and like to watch him annoying scratch himself to death, you think it is pretty funny (Mommy does not)!


• You think your sister is pretty funny and laugh at anything she does =)


• You are a huge flirt and always smile at the ladies
  
  
  

Happy half birthday sweet boy, we LOVE you!!!

It's Been Awhile....

I have gotten a little behind, but for good reason. I finally started working out again! I borrowed p90X from my brother and it is amazing, it's a love/hate relationship =) I usually blog while the kiddos are taking a nap, but now working out has taken priority during that time. Hopefully I will get in the swing of things again an be able to stay up a little later at night to stay caught up!

Anyways.....on with the pictures! My two favorite boys!

And this wouldn't be a post without some artwork somewhere besides paper, right? Somehow Ry snuck some chalk inside and decorated one of the office doors, luckily it came right off with a Clorox wipe!

Eli in what I thought would be an outfit for this summer when we go to the beach. Guess it's a spring outfit because it fits now (6-12mo). I guess he will be in 12-18 mo by summer!

I don't think I ever posted a picture of the quilt my Mother-in-law made for Eli. Isn't it A-Mazing?! It has all the cute little Nursery Rhyme characters on it.

We've been hanging outside a lot lately and enjoying the nice swing set Santa brought. The weather has been so beautiful! I wish it would stay like this for summer, not looking forward to 100+ heat at all! This is Eli's first feel of grass between his toes!

We have a nice yard full of WEEDS, but Ry likes the occasional flowers she finds!

Yesterday we did some Easter paintings while Eli was taking his morning nap.

Look how good she is at staying in the lines! She's really good a coloring in the lines too!

The other night I was woken up four times by this little monster because he had turned over on his belly and was not liking it, it was exhausting to say the least.

He woke up from his morning nap on his belly and I rubbed his back, telling him he was ok until he calmed down. I let him hang out for a good while and he decided it wasn't too bad and that he actually liked it on his belly!

Especially when he found his best friend!

I'm happy to say he woke up on his belly last night at 2, found his thumb and went back to sleep for the rest of the night AND took his morning nap on his belly too!

5 Months Old

Eli,

You are 5 months old! You get cuter and sweeter by the day and you have started doing so many new and fun things this past month! One more month and you'll be half way to one, it's so crazy how fast time goes by (especially when I'm not ready for it to)! We love you so much sweet boy and can't wait to see what next month brings!

Here are some things you are doing at 5 months:

• You are finally sleeping through the night! You go to bed between 7 and 7:30 and will sleep till about 6:30, eat and go right back to sleep until about 8:30!


• You found your thumb and suck it all the time, it's so cute! You suck your right thumb, so I wonder if you're going to be left handed like Mommy.


• You have started baby food and have had: sweet potatoes, sweet peas, squash, bananas, and pears. I think squash has been your favorite so far!


• You get excited when it's time to eat in your high chair. I think because you know you're getting big boy food and not just boring milk. You start squealing and kicking your feet. After each bite you go mmmmm, and will sometimes squeal if I'm not shoveling it fast enough (sounds like someone else I know (Mr. P))!


• You already love your Blue Dog and love to sleep with it on your face, which Daddy doesn't like. It will be time for you to nap or go to bed at night and when I lay you down you find your thumb right away and then sort of wine. As soon as I put B.D. by your face you stop and go to sleep. I have even taken him off your face and by the time I get down stairs and look at the monitor, you have already put it back on.


• You have rolled over about 5 times, but think it has been about a week since you have done it again. I guess you wanted to make sure I saw you do it so I would leave you alone =)


• You love to sit in your stroller like a big boy without your car seat and even rode like a big boy at Walmart last weekend for the first time!


• You are reaching and grabbing EVERYTHING in sight and putting it in your mouth.


• You are ticklish EVERYWHERE! My favorite is when I kiss your neck, you always scrunch up and laugh!


• You love to watch your big sister! She is so sweet with you and I know you already love her too! You always smile when she's in your face talking to you and you follow her with your eyes wherever she goes.


• You love to be outside just like your sister.


• You are wearing 6-12 mo clothes, size 3 diaper and size 2 shoe!


• You can turn around in your exersaucer and jumparoo.


• You love when Mommy makes you jump in you jumparoo, but haven't quite figured out how to do it yourself.
