Mexico

Brad made President's Club for the year 2010 and the trip was in Cancun, Mexico this year. It was not a total vacation because it was with 300 other Cintas employees that also made President's Club, but it was still a TON of fun! Although I has a blast, I was happy and eager to get home to Rylee, I missed her soooooo much! On the way home, I told Brad it felt like Christmas (on how excited I was to see her)!

This was the view from our hotel balcony
After lunch, we headed straight to the beach to soak up the sun!

That night we went to dinner at one of the restaurants in our hotel. There was a live mariachi band and dancers, it was really neat!

Brad and I at dinner with Scott and his wife Jennifer.

Day 2 at the beach playing washers

We went to this place called the Crab House that was only 10 min. from our hotel. It was right on the beach and sooooooo yummy!

Mango margarita........mmm...mmm....good!

We went with a big group to a seafood restaurant called Lorenzillo's. Again it was right over the water and one of the coolest places I have ever been to, and the tastiest!

Day 3: enjoying drinks at the pool

Saturday night was the big President's Club dinner. They announced each person one by one, their title and where they were from. This is Brad coming out to shake hands with the President of company, I was so proud!

Our table at dinner, it was so pretty!

Of course we had to buy Rylee souvenirs while we were away. This is her reaction to her little wooden guitar.... (it really plays too)

And one of those drum things, not sure what they're called

And a little Mexican dress...just the right size

Brad and I also collected sea shells for our sweet girl. She loved looking at each one saying, "ooooh!"

Then we put them into a pretty vase...

And......

Brad and I can't wait to take Rylee to the beach so she can collect her own sea shells!

A Rylee Update

Rylee's 15 month check up was a couple of weeks ago. I said that I would win the contest with Brad on who would be closest on her weight, and I did! Rylee weighed 23 lbs and 2 oz. (50th percentile), my guess was 23 lbs. and Brad's was 25 lbs. She was 32.75 inches tall (95th percentile)!

Rylee amazes me everyday, she is so curious and carefree! Here are some things she is doing:

  • Eats pretty much everything I give her and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES vegetables. I haven't found one she won't eat, even lima beans and brussel sprouts! Unfortunately Rylee has gotten my sweet tooth too, she loves sweets!
  • Loves to dance. Any sort of beat or music that she hears, she starts bobbing her head and shaking her booty. She gets the biggest grin on her face too.
  • Steps in and out of her shorts. When taking her shorts/skirt off, she says, "step" and steps right out of them. She does the same thing when putting them on, she will hold onto my arms and step in, so smart I think!
  • Knows shapes. She can say circle and square and can find them on her puzzle or cookie sorter.
  • Knows the color blue and green.
  • LOVES shoes! Anytime Brad or I's shoes are out she constantly puts them on and walks around. She also goes into our closest and pulls down all the shoes she can reach off the shelves.
  • LOVES to climb, anything not on the ground, she's on it. Many times I hear her say, "get down," while she is climbing, because that is what I am constantly saying to her, or she says, "sit down," if she stands in her high chair or on couch.
  • Has really started playing with Ruger, it's the cutest thing! She climbs all over him, teases him with toys so he will chase her and gives him kisses.
  • Loves to be scared. We will chase each other around the kitchen and hallway because it makes a big circle. I always trick her and say, "boo." She jumps and starts laughing and signs for more.
  • Loves to blow kisses and give kisses.
  • Still LOVES the bath, and now even the shower!
  • Loves to take things she knows she's not supposed to (i.e. remote, cell phone) look back at me, smile, and starts to run, then looks back to see if I'm going to chase her. It's pretty cute and gets me every time!
  • Her new favorite thing is playing video games with daddy. She has her own controller (w/o batteries) and she sits on the couch right next to him.

I'm sure there are many more things, but all I can think of at the moment. We are off to Mexico tomorrow and I have been crying on and off all day. I'm going to miss Rylee soooooo much! I know she is in good hands and is going to have so much fun, but it still so hard!

And now for the best part of my post, pictures!

Rylee can finally reach the buttons on her microwave! I swear she stood here for 20 minutes pressing the buttons and listening to all the different sounds it made.

She can now reach door knobs too..... yikes! Luckily she hasn't figured out how to open them yet!

Strike a pose...

Watching morning cartoons with Pink Dog and Z

Last weekend we went over to Aunt Diane's house to celebrate Grandma Truncali's 89th birthday. It was so fun visiting with the whole family!

Doesn't she look great for 7?!

Rylee's Tree and New Letters

Aunt Diane finished painting Rylee's tree on her wall and I absolutely LOVE it! She did such an amazing job and we could not be any happier! Also, Rylee's letters came in the mail last week that I ordered and I LOVE them too! I have two more walls in her room that need some finishing touches, but it is finally coming together ;)

Future Gymnast...

As we all know, Rylee is becoming quite the climber these days. So, I decided it would be a good idea to let her try out Little Gym to see if she would like it. It is something her and I can do together and is inside out of this face melting weather! Rylee LOVED it! It looks like we will be signing her up for classes when we get back from Mexico! She was so carefree and tried everything the instructor had planned. I think we may have a future gymnast on our hands, you tell me...

This week they were working on colors. Rylee took a ride on the parachute with the other kids while the mommies walked in a circle, making the parachute spin.

Dance, dance, dance
Exploring the gym

She climbed up here on her own

The instructor walked over to these bars and moved the red mat over to them. Ry followed right behind her, got up on the mat and reached for the bars, before the instructor even finished explaining to the mommies what they were going to do. I knew she was strong, but not sure if she could hold herself up, but as you can see she did! The instructor laughed and thanked Rylee for being her model ;)

CiRcUs FuN

We took Rylee to the circus Sunday morning and she LOVED it! Grammy, Papa, J, Ray, Chris, Chrissy and the girls went too! Rylee did so good either sitting/standing in some one's lap with a grin on her face from ear to ear. At one point, there were horses that came out and Rylee started pointing and said, "neigh, neigh!" She lasted the whole time, but was pretty over it by the end (Mommy was too). The first half seemed a lot more entertaining than the second half, but it was still one of the coolest things I have ever been to!

Here are some pictures from the circus:

Rylee, ready to go!
Rylee got a monkey with a jester hat. It's holding a magic hat with a bunny inside, too cute.

Here, two people are being shot out of a canon at 65 mph. It was pretty neat!

Rylee wearing her wizard hat that she got with her cotton candy, which she also loved!

What a great time, we will have to go again next year!
