4 Months Old!

Eli,

You turned four months yesterday and it's still hard to believe! It seems like these past 4 months have flown by, before I know it you're going to be one! You have your 4 month check up tomorrow morning and I'm curious to see how much you've grown, but sad for you to get your shots, hopefully you do well with them this time! I love you more than words can say and I enjoy watching you learn and grow. You are my favorite little boy =)

Here are some things you are doing at 4 months:

  • You got in a bad habit of wanting to eat at 12, 3 and 5 and Mommy couldn't take it anymore! I believe the chubby cheeks and rolls are a sign that you don't need a 12 o'clock feeding, so.....

  • A week ago today we started rice cereal at night, usually 1 tbs and 1/2 oz of mommy's milk, but a couple of times you have eaten 2 tbs. The first night having cereal you woke up at 12:45 and thought you needed a snack, but I just rocked you back to sleep and you woke and ate at 2:45 and 6:45! Mommy was very proud of you! A couple of times you have done 3 am and 7, which is my favorite, but the past two nights it's been 2:30 and 5:30. Luckily you go back to sleep until 8 =)

  • A week today you have been sleeping in your own bed at night

  • I have already started breaking you of your swaddle, leaving one arm out and you're doing great! After eating at 5:30 last night I left both arms out and you went right back to sleep with your arms up next to your head

  • I can't complain that you're still getting up twice because you eat in about 5min and go right back to sleep all by yourself!

  • You're still in 3-6 mo clothes and size 3 diaper and you got your first pair of real shoes this week, size 2

  • You still don't like to take the bottle and will only drink about 3 oz, but seem satisfied until your next feeding

  • You have been chewing/sucking on your hands like a mad man! I'm not sure if you're teething or are just excited about finding them

  • You love your exersaucer and have hung out in it for over 30min a couple of differ. times. You even press the buttons that light up and play music!

  • I think you are getting close to taking only two naps a day! The past 2 days you have taken two 2 hr plus naps, the first one at 9:30 and the second around 1:30.

  • You have started talking and squealing/screaming like crazy and you even do a little growl that is the cutest thing ever after you eat and are fighting to stay awake....I LOVE it!

  • You have still not attempted to roll over yet, but will arch your back and crank your neck around to see something out of reach

  • You love when I sing to you and bounce you on my knee

  • You will hold my fingers and pull yourself up from a lay down position to a sitting position and then to standing (with help of course), it's quite impressive

  • I am always greeted with the biggest smile when you wake up and see me standing over you, it melts my heart!

  • You LOVE bath time and kick like crazy, splashing water EVERYWHERE! I'm pretty sure you are trying to swim!

We LOVE you sweet boy and can't wait to see what you are up to next month!

Love, Mommy

Happy Birthday Chrissy (Tina)

Saturday night Brad and I went out with Chris & Chrissy for her birthday! To say we had a BLAST is an understatement.....you would have thought it was my birthday the way I was acting! We realized just the 4 of us haven't hung out since Brad & I were DATING....sad! Here we are at the Bar at Mi Cocina.

Then the wine bar Cru

I think after cew is where we got a little crazy! The craziest part , it was 7:45.....WOW......EMBARASSING! We ended up at the Londoner where Chrissy introduced me to her friend ACE PEAR CIDER, at least I'm pretty sure that's what it's called. Pretty sure I was calling it pale-ale-shmale all night! Anyway, after having a couple of these delicious beverages we decided we needed to find some more! Chris said he thought he saw it at Tom Thumb, so off we went.......

Chrissy had the lovely idea to see if a 33 year old could fit in a kiddie car.....

Not quite, but all most!

We totally would have strolled around the store like this..... in search of our friend pale-ale-shmale, but we were afraid of the boys ditching us, or worse yet receiving a PI at Tom Thumb at 10pm

So....we then decided to head to Delainey's Irish Pub thinking they have to have it. On our way we saw Jack's Pub! This is Chrissy calling Jack's to see if they have our friend on tap....

SCORE!!!

We have already joked that you can find us at Jack's on a weekly basis enjoying our sweet friend Ace!

And now the best part of this post! I tried to post this on fb, but couldn't get it to post =( I almost wet my pants when it posted here! Feel free to watch it as many times as you would like! I can't help but laugh every time!!!! Happy Birthday Tina, I LOVE YOU!!! Lets do it again real soon!

Ps. Don't miss my around the house post below =)

Ry watching t.v. I love how she has all her Mickey's lined up! Not sure where she gets the OCD from!

Didn't notice until I took this picture that she had yellow stamp pad ink around her mouth, even after a bath....Nice!

Ry watching some t.v. (Eli passed out)

This morning Ry and I worked on her Hexi Snaps together. It was actually really fun, these things are so cool! Definitely recommend it!

About a month ago Ry figured out how to open all the child locks on the cabinets, nice I know! She literally walked around to each cabinet, opened it, peeked in and went on to the next one. She could probably tell you where everything is at and her favorite cabinet/drawer.....the JUNK drawer.....lovely! Today I was unloading groceries and putting them away and she got into the drawer and grabbed a roll of masking tape. I was going to stop her, but thought she's busy and out of my hair so who cares. Seems she enjoyed the whole roll......

LOVE her to pieces!!!
