7 Months Old!

Eli,

You are seven months, 5 months away from turning one and I can't believe it! You are the sweetest, cuddliest baby ever and I enjoy spending every moment with you! You are so happy and already have the cutest personality. You are starting to look more and more like a little boy and less like a little baby, this makes me so sad, but I must say I think you are going to be one handsome little man, just like your daddy! We love you little man and can't wait to see what 8 months brings!

Love,

Mommy

A little about you at 7 months old:

  • 6 mo. clothes are too small and you are more in the 9-12 mo. range. You are still in size 3 diapers and your size 2 shoe is on the verge of being too small.

  • You are no longer eating cereal, but 2 baby foods in the morning and evening with an occasional food in the afternoon. You are also eating fruit melts, fruit puffs and soggy cheerios (and have had ice cream on occasion)!

  • We are working on weaning to a bottle because all of a sudden Mommy is not making enough milk :*( You were getting so frustrated the other day because you weren't getting it fast enough. I tried pumping and found that I was not pumping very much. Not sure if it's a combination of working out a lot more and not drinking enough water, or now that you are eating more baby food, I'm not sure. I am able to nurse you 1-2 times a day, but then you are taking bottles the rest of your feedings. The first time I tried, you wouldn't take a bottle, I offered it on and off for an hour and then gave up. You skipped one feeding and then decided you were over being a tough guy. You are doing great now, at least I know you're taking anywhere from 5-7 oz.

  • You are finally rolling from belly to back, even though I haven't actually seen you do it. I only know because of waking up and checking on you on the monitor. You will be on your tummy at one point and then when I check on you later you're on your back. Maybe you don't even know you're doing it, because you pretend to not know what I'm talking about when I tell you during tummy time that you can do it!

  • You have been sitting up all by yourself for almost a month now and you prefer to sit and play with toys on the floor, rather than play in your exersaucer or jumparoo.

  • You love to be outside, just like your sister. You got a swing for Easter and LOVE it! You love when Rylee swings next you, you just watch her and smile the whole time, it's so sweet!

  • You are grabbing everything in sight, even if I think it is out of your reach you manage to stretch and get whatever it is you want, which is EVERYTHING! You especially LOVE to pull hair, I'm pretty sure Rylee and I will be bald very soon ;)

  • You love to squeal and laugh and your new thing is growling. You sound like a little bear, smiling as you growl, cutest thing!

  • You ride like a big boy all the time now at the store and sit in highchairs at restaurants, you think it's pretty cool!

  • I have found that you like drinking water out of a big boy cup (regular cup) rather than your sippy cup. You will drink out of your sippy for about a second and then just start chewing it. If I give you a regular cup of water, you actually drink it. You also love when I give you some of my water when we are out through a straw!

  • Daddy has tried putting you up on your knees in a crawling position (not sure why, he's crazy). You don't care for it at all, totally not interested, which is totally fine with me, I'm not ready for that yet!

I love you Eli boo!!!

Rylee is 3

Rylee,

Oh my goodness, Mommy doesn't even know where to start! I can't believe you are 3!!! My life changed the day I had you, you made me a Mommy, the most rewarding title I could ever ask for! You are by far the most curious, into everything kind of girl, but I wouldn't change it for a second. You keep me on my toes and always leave me wondering what you could possibly get into next! You are the sweetest little girl , who gives the best hugs a girl could ask for and kisses that make everything better! Your smile and laugh light up the room and melt my heart, more than you will ever know. I hope you always stay my happy go lucky girl with not a care in the world attitude! We love you so, so much! Happy 3rd birthday Rylee boo!

Love,
Mommy

Some things you are doing at 3:

  • You love anything art related, especially if it involves stickers or paint.

  • You could eat sugar all day long if I let you and I'm pretty sure you could live on chicken nuggets and french fries for every meal. You will eat pretty much any fruit under the sun and love it, but are not very much into veggies these days except for corn on the cob and occasionally carrots and broccoli.

  • Besides sweets, chips and bacon are a favorite, just like your daddy. You always hunt him down in the office when he gets home because you know he always has a bag of chips handy before dinner.

  • You love your brother and are so sweet with him, but have definitely had your moments too. Your favorite it taking his thumb out of his mouth and pushing him over when he is sitting on the floor. You can be sweet even when pushing him over though, you will get a pillow for him to fall back on before pushing him to the floor.

  • You are still not completely potty trained which can be very frustrating at times because I know you know better. I'm not sure if it's stubbornness or what, but you have your good and bad days for sure! You don't seem to mind that you may be in pull ups till your in Middle School.

  • You love music and I love to watch your head start bobbing when you hear a beat that you like. You can pretty much sing any song on the radio and I find it quite entertaining.

  • You have no fear at all which worries me to no end. You love to climb and jump off whatever you can. You have used Eli's exersaucer to jump off of because it has a slight spring to it, you enjoy sliding down the slide head first, leaning way back on the swing when swinging and you will use any surface as a trampoline.....just to name a few.

  • You can be a total girly-girl one moment, obsessed with lip gloss and make-up and dressing up in princess clothes, shoes and crowns, and the next your sword fighting and rolling around in dirt.

  • You are doing a new thing now where you say, "what" ALL THE TIME! I will say something to you and you just say what, I will even repeat what I said several times and you still say what. I'm not sure if you don't like what I have to say or you are losing your hearing, but have found that two can play at this game. You don't find it quite as hilarious when I say "what" to you.

  • You have the most shrilling scream I have ever heard come out of a 3 year old! You could have something fall on the floor by accident, someone take something from you, or fall down a flight of stairs, it's all the same shrilling scream! Pretty sure you will be hired in horror flicks just for your scream!

  • A kiss makes everything better (or a bandaid), but mainly kisses. Any time you get hurt, you say, "Mommy, kiss it!" And it is always better after I do. You will even do the same for me! My legs were really sore after working out and it hurt to pretty much do anything, you asked me what was wrong and when I told you my legs were sore you kissed both of them, melts my heart!

I could go on for days, but need to find a stopping point to share your last year in pictures. Enjoy!

Egg Hunt, B-day Parties & Easter!

The kiddos ready for our neighborhood egg hunt!

This is Ry when she saw.....

The Easter bunny ride up on a Harley!
He even passed out candy to all the kiddos!

Next we had Addie's 3rd birthday party! She had a music party, it was so much fun! They had a lady come that sang songs, played the guitar and the kids got to play little instruments!

Eli was in awe of the music, I think he was a huge fan!

Then we had Danika's 5th birthday party! It was at Little Hearts Preschool in Lucas where she had it last year, Ry had a BLAST! She rode the pony 6 times!

LOVE her!

She loved her ladybug face painting!

Eli wasn't sure about Ry's painted face. He rode the whole way home just staring at her.....

Decorating Easter eggs.

Eli enjoyed trying to eat his feet.

Ry getting carrots to leave for the Easter bunny before going to bed.
She even snuck one....

Ry was so excited to find the eggs the E.B. hid for her!

Ry is so sweet, she brought Eli his basket before even looking at hers!

Taking it all in...

Eli got lots of cool new books!

Ry finally checking out what she got.

She thought the chicken that laid eggs(bubble gum) was pretty silly!

The girls after church.

All the adorable cousins looking cute, color coordinating and all, and it wasn't even planned!

Attempting all the kiddos with Grammy & Papa.

Grammy helping E check out his Easter basket.

The big kids checking out their goodies the Easter bunny left.

Ry and Berk got matching outfits in their basket and then my sister and I both brought outfits to change into after church (unplanned I swear) .....
