Santa Parade, 2 Months, Thanksgiving & Christmas Lights!!!

Last weekend Brad and I took the kids to see the arrival of Santa parade in Fairview. Rylee LOOOVED it!

The look on her face was priceless! She would point out everything, smile & wave....ADORABLE!!! Pretty sure the marching band was her favorite. She's crazy about marching bands for some reason (probably from one of her shows). When I told her there was going to be a marching band she told me she wanted to bring her drums ;)

Horrible picture of Santa, but hey I got one.

Sweet boy turned 2 months last Tuesday. At his check up he weighed 13 lbs and 1 oz, he has almost doubled in weight since he was born!

Some things he's doing/likes:

  • Would like to eat every 2 hrs and I was letting him until the dr. told me I need to hold him off at least 2.5 hrs. if not 3. He is doing better with this =)

  • Will sleep 5 -6 (sometimes 7) hrs at night and then every 3 hrs after that

  • grunts the entire time his diaper is being changed and poops all the time, pretty sure it's a boy thing.....and super stinky (poops not him)

  • loves his einstein mat

  • has started smiling and cooing, I almost got a giggle out of him last night

  • when he does take a bottle he will drink 2 - 3 oz

  • loves to be held

  • loves to watch Ry

  • loves lights, windows and fans (pretty sure all babies do)

  • LOVES his swing and will take a 3- 4 hr nap at least once a day in it

  • loves to be held facing out (such as the pic above) so he can keep an eye on things

  • loves to have his back patted and/or rubbed

  • loves to be moving...if he's being held you must be rocking, swaying, bouncing or patting...he makes you work for his silence

  • if I'm shopping the cart must be moving, even if we are standing in line, I have to move the cart back and fourth

  • in the car....you get the point ;)

  • his eyes are still blue, but so much darker than Ry's and mine..hopefully they stay

Ry showing off some new earings...kinda hard to see.

Eli partied on his mat till he past out, so sweet!

This adorable outfit was given to Eli by my mother in law's assistant at work, love it!

Saturday we drove to East Texas for Brad's cousin's bridal shower. Here is Eli with grandma Instine.

On the way home we stopped to see the Christmas lights in Tyler. They were amazing, I have never seen anything like it before. I will spare you all the pics, but share some of my favorites. We let Ry ride in my lap as we drove through.

The water was blinking and the fish was jumping out of the water
What Christmas is all about, love this one! Hard to tell, but to the right of the 3 crosses is Jesus on a cross and then standing free in the water next to that.

Today we got our tree and Eli loved looking at the lights! I had him smiling so big, it was the cutest thing ever!
Ry is so into the decorations this year, it's so neat to see her get excited about things. She helped us hang ornaments on the tree. At one point I looked and she had 3 ornaments on the same branch, so cute. I love how she is standing on her potty to hang an ornament right in front of her. I guess because we were using a ladder she thought she needed something to make her taller too ;)

Some videos of the Christmas lights. Please ignore my squeaky brakes.....
