8 Months

Eli,

You are 8 months old, four months away from being 1 year old! I feel like this was such a big months for you, you have changed in so many ways! I feel like the luckiest Mama to spend every day with you and watch you grow and learn! You make my heart melt in so many ways and I can't wait to see what new things you will be doing next month! I love you to pieces little man!

Some things about you at 8 months:

• 
  
  You are now in a size 4 diaper, you can technically still fit in a 3, but.... lets just say that size 4 makes for an easier clean up duty ;)


• 
  
  You are now in a size 3 shoe and wearing 12 month clothes.


• 
  
  You have decided you are too big for baby food and want nothing to do with it, you'd rather have big boy food!


• 
  
  So far you will eat anything I give you and squeal for more! So far you've had: pancakes, french toast (w/o syrup), cheerios/lucky charms, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, chicken, hot dog, ham (lunch meat), mac & cheese, french fries, rice, beans, guacamole/avocado, blueberries, cantaloupe, pineapple, watermelon, grapes, banana, and kiwi.

  You are drinking anywhere from 6-8 oz a feeding.


• 
  
  You love to pull hair and pinch/scratch faces and think it is quite funny, especially if there's an "ouch" involved!


• 
  
  You have 2 teeth on the top and 3 on the bottom!


• 
  
  You are finally rolling over from back to belly and belly to back all the time!


• 
  
  You have gotten up on your knees 3 times......but you have no interest in even attempting to crawl. Who would when Mommy or Sissy bring you whatever you're screaming for?!


• 
  
  You have started scooting on your bottom to get somewhere and will sometimes lay on your back and push with your legs and scoot that way too.


• 
  
  You are totally spoiled! I can set you down and you're fine playing....until you get a glimpse of me and it's all over. You will start off whining, but it soon escalates to a shrilling scream, unfortunately just like your sister (lucky me). As soon as I pick you up, you are perfectly fine, you instantly stop crying and then smirk!


• 
  
  You are a total Mama's boy! Just like the above, someone can be holding you and you're fine, until you see me.


• 
  
  You love to copy cat! You will squeal, so then Ry will squeal, so you squeal again louder and so does Ry. This will go on and on back and forth. The same thing with babbling or snorting through you're nose, which you've been doing a lot of lately too. You scrunch up your nose with the cutest smile and snort, it's pretty hilarious and you think it is pretty funny.

  You are talking way more, not just the baby babbling, but real sounds, like dada....or sounds like dada!


• 
  
  You absolutely love your blue dog and giraffe! Whenever you get sleepy and I give it to you, you instantly snuggle them and your thumb goes in your mouth, it's so sweet! You are still sucking both thumbs and it seems there is no rhyme or reason, it's just whatever is convenient at the time.
