1st Trip to the Lease

I have to back track and document our first trip to the lease with the kiddos. We are on a new lease this year with Brad's parents and there was lots to do to get it ready before hunting season. New deer stands, feeders, organizing the trailor and making/marking trails.
Since it was the kids first time, we just went for half a day.

I had to take this picture before we left. Ry made kitty and butterfly masks and she said they had to wear them.
Painting the deer stand that Brad, his dad and uncle built.
Brad and Ry found leaves and taped them to sticks to make it camouflaged.
As they were doing that, I thought Eli was just playing in the grass. But no....
He was finding his own leaf to spray paint. So smart I tell ya...
Having a snack break.
Working hard!
Eli searching for rocks to throw in the pond.
As I'm taking pictures of Rylee fishing....
Eli slipped into the pond (btw, it's super shallow for a while) Brad was right there and grabbed him, leaving one of his boots stuck in the mud and this.....(luckily I brought a change of clothes)!
Side note... While I was helping Eli with his snack, Ry got the bright idea to paint my entire back tire on my jeep w/the outdoor paint we used to paint the stand.   This was after I had already wiped off the rim (using baby wipes) and what I could get off the tire. Lucky for her,  it came off with a power washer!

Getting Deer Season Ready w/Our Girl

Today we took a trip to the lease to finish up some work before deer season. Ry is the perfect age to enjoy it out here and enjoys riding the "buddin buddin" (land master), fishing, and learning about the country life and hunting. We can't wait until Eli can join in on the fun w/us!

We stopped to get breakfast on the way. I just couldn't resist, she's the cutest little cowgirl!
Coloring on the way.
Our last trip Ry and E left a special note in the deer stand to surprise Maw and Poppie.
Poppie and Ry about to go for a ride.
Ry sweeping out the trailor.

Ry coloring in the bed of Poppie's truck.
Picking flowers by the pond.
Going to take the deer stand to its spot.
Poppie and Ry checking out the deer stand together.
Love this one!
Lunch break.
Fishing
Ry checking one of the feeders.
Ry climbing up into Brad and I's 12ft stand, not scared one bit either!
Inside the stand.
Ry said,"look, I'm a deer, count my antlers. "
One last ride before heading home.
Ry saying she was a princess trapped in a castle.
Had a blast today, until next time...
I just want to note that Poppie is smiling here!๐Ÿ˜„

Sick baby

It's been awhile... I'm having computer problems. I even tried to start a new blog and that didn't work either.  I think Santa may be bringing me one for Christmas! I'm posting from my phone for the first time, so we will see how this goes.

Eli started with a fever Tuesday. I alternated Motrin and Tylenol all day and it never broke. It just so happens too that he just learned how to climb out of his crib at the same time as being sick. So naturally the night training has already been ruined. He goes to sleep good, but then wakes up in the middle of the night and climbs out. I give him medicine and then rock him with a cool rag on his head and attempt to make him drink water. Being sick, he wants to constantly be held, which I love, but not when I have to get up for boot camp at 4:30. So, I've been climbing in his crib to help him fall asleep๐Ÿ˜. Yeah... See how I've already ruined him??! Well this has already been going on since Tuesday and now it's Friday. He's fine, until the Motrin or Tylenol wears off. It's exhausting to say the least! Last night he climbed out about 6 times w/in about 10 minutes. It breaks my heart when he says," I rock you or I hold you. " anyway, he hasn't had any medicine since 11 last night and so far no fever, please pray that this bug is over! Here are his sad little sick pictures.

A little tea party, while medicine is working its magic.
Then, back to being miserable. This is right before putting him in a luke warm bath. Baths always help when he's not happy or feeling good, but didn't last long this time.
Breaks my heart to see him so miserable! His fever was 103 at this point. ๐Ÿ˜ข
Hopefully we are finished with this nasty little bug! Luckily Ry hasn't gotten it... yet! Prayers are much needed for this mommy!

4th of July

Ready to party at Grammy and Papa's house!
This is my attempt at a 4th of July treat. I made the cupcakes too big and then couldn't add another row, drove my OCD self crazy...
 Baxter
Ray & Chrissy getting their sun on.
J trying to drag Baxter into the pool.
Berk & Ry
 Brad wearing Eli's towel.
Eli loved playing with the water guns.
 Maw & Poppie
Patton only loves me for my suckers ;0) Anytime this kid sees me, he's asking for a sucker b/c he knows I always have them!
 Eli being silly!
Maw & Eli
 The girls
 Grammy & Pappa
Not sure why Patton is sad here.
The kiddos enjoying the cupcakes...

I was trying to get a pic of the boys, but they wouldn't stop being crazy!
All fun and games, until someone gets hurt. P and E bonked and E's trying to give him a kiss.
Eli was trying to blow bubbles, but wanted his mouth on it. He wasn't too happy that it wasn't working.
Maw & Poppie went to California and brought the kids back some treats. Eli was pretty excited about some glow sticks!
We stopped and got some snacks and went  to see the firworks by our house. Eli fell asleep on the way, so we laid him down in the back of the jeep.
Waiting for the fireworks to start.
 Crazy driver!
 Startin young ;0)
So sweet!

Once the firworks started we woke up Eli.

Ry woke up at 6:30 after going to bed at 11. Luckily I got her to go back to sleep in our bed, she's lucky she's cute!
Happy 4th of July, from the Truncali's!!!
