You are a year and a half years old and it has been the best year and a half of my life! You are such a happy, sweet girl and you have such an amazing personality. You are pretty easy going for the most part, but can get pretty feisty if something doesn't go quite the way you planned. You love to give kisses and hugs, even to Ruger.
Mommy made a list of all the words you can say and I've counted 145, and still going! You've started putting 2 and 3 words together too. Most recently, we were playing with a hat in your toy box and you brought it to me and said, "you wear it." Daddy heard you say it too and we were so proud of you. You catch on to things so quickly, you can even say some of your ABC's and count to 10! We have started working on making facial expressions, you can do a happy face, sad face, surprised and scared, although your happy face looks like a scared face and your scared face looks like a happy face. Mommy will have to take a picture of all of them to show everyone.
We've been working on colors and you do pretty well, but sometimes you want everything to be green, maybe it's your favorite color?! You do so good with your puzzles, you can do your ocean and farm puzzle all by yourself and if Mommy asks you where a certain animal is, you can point to it, say it and make the sound!
You love going to little gym and can do a forward and backward roll (with help) and have even been Ms. Julie's helper to model some of the activities! You've been able to jump for a little while, but your feet come off the ground a little bit now. Before you would just go to your toes, we are so proud of you!
You've become quite the picky eater lately, you used to eat pretty much whatever I put in front of you, but lately all you will eat is rice and veggies. I guess that is not horrible, but I guess it's just another phase you are going through. You are known to never turn down a french fry or ice cream, but those aren't the healthiest choices. Most of the time, we get in the car you say, "french fry." I think that tells Mommy something we need to work on!
You love to go outside, morning, noon, or night! Whenever you're not happy, going outside will do the trick. You love to color with the chalk, if only we could get you to color on the ground. You want to color on everything, but the ground; the chairs, table, windows, grill and you will even say, "no, no, ground." Mommy eventually has to take it away because you don't want to listen.
A funny story Grammy told me:
Grammy was folding laundry on the kitchen counter and had the patio door open because you were outside playing with chalk. She walked into the laundry room to get something out of the dryer and heard you come in and shut the door. Grammy told you, good girl, because she thought you came in and closed the door when you were finished, but you were walking around the kitchen and marking on all the chairs with the chalk. Luckily it was washable and came right off, but an example of your sneakiness!
You had your 18 month check up on Monday and you got 2 shots =( you only cried for a little bit, but it still makes me sad every time! Here are your stats:
Weight: 24 lbs. and 10.5 oz. (54th percentile)
Height: 33.75 inches (94th percentile)
Head: 18.75 inches (78th percentile)
Mommy and Daddy LOVE you so much and can't believe you will be 2 in 6 short months! You are the best thing that has ever happened to us and we love you more and more every day!
Love,
Mommy
And now some pictures from the past couple of days:
You got some new Hello Kitty rain boots the other day and you think they are the coolest thing, you even say,
"cool."
This morning we went and got coffee and doughnuts, you LOVE doughnuts!
